Nike Speedhouse indoor rink. We converted an abandoned warehouse with no electricity or water in to the Nike Speedhouse rink into an ice rink complete with custom logo at centre ice, custom dasher boards and player’s benches. The rink was constructed, ice frozen and groomed in less than 20 days for a spectacular event that culminated in a tournament to build buzz around the 100^th anniversary Team Canada jersey created for the IIHL Junior Championship. The event tied into a broader IIHF themed campaign for the client in partnership with retailer Sport Chek. By selecting young talented athletes who were savvy with social media, the program generated buzz by encouraging them to share their experience through the official hashtag #nikespeedhouse.
